We are excited to announce that we will soon be administering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in our office. Appointments are available starting 5/27/21 to our patients aged 12 years and older, as well as to any eligible family members of our current patients!
Because of the CDC and manufacturer's rules regarding storage and administration, we initially will just be scheduling people to receive the vaccine at our Eastgate office. Appointments will be available Monday – Friday from 4:30 – 6:00 pm until 6/16/21. After that there will be a morning COVID vaccination clinic from 10:00 – 11:30 am in addition to the afternoon clinic. We will also offer a limited number of COVID-19 vaccines to eligible patients already scheduled to see a physician at the Eastgate office, Monday – Friday. We will not be able to accommodate any walk in requests for COVID-19 vaccine at this time.
Everyone who gets the Pfizer vaccine should receive 2 doses given 21 days apart. You are encouraged to make both appointments when you call to schedule.
All individuals who wish to receive the vaccine in our office will need to provide insurance information when scheduling. If an individual is uninsured, we will request that the Social Security Number and driver's license/state ID number be provided. Demographic and insurance information will be stored in our practice EHR so that any accepted fees for the administration of the vaccine can be billed to your insurance company or HRSA. It will also allow us to send the dates of vaccine administration to the state registry automatically. You will not receive a bill since there is no out of pocket cost to anyone who receives the COVID-19 vaccine.
Continue to check our website or follow us on Facebook or Twitter for any updates to our schedule offerings or procedures for administering COVID-19 vaccine.
